August 23rd celebrated 60 years since the Town of Vail was incorporated — six decades of building community and growing up around an extraordinary mountain; Vail Ski Mountain.

From Vail’s early days as a young ski town to the world-renowned mountain community it is today, so much has changed. But the things that make Vail special have endured: the beauty of this valley, the spirit of the people who call it home, and that unmistakable feeling you get when you arrive here.

For those of us fortunate enough to live, work, own a home, or spend time in Vail, this is more than a destination. It’s a community with a remarkable history — and an exciting future still being written.

This event has passed….The Town of Vail is inviting the community to its official 60th birthday celebration tomorrow, August 23, from 4–7 p.m. at Avanti Food & Beverage at Golden Peak. Light refreshments, including beer, wine and a special custom cocktail, will be served — and in honor of Vail’s 1966 beginnings, 1960s-themed attire is encouraged! See you at Golden Peak! 🎉
