A luxury ranch and estate will be auctioned off in Aspen and a four bedroom penthouse just hit the market in Vail
Luxury real estate tied to the Koch family is entering the Colorado market, drawing attention from buyers in Aspen and Vail.
One of the most notable listings is Elk Mountain Lodge, a 52-acre Aspen estate headed to auction July 7–17 owned by Bill Koch. Originally purchased in 2007 for $26.5 million, the property has evolved from a historic dude ranch into a private mountain compound spanning more than 25,000 square feet across eight structures.
The 16,631-square-foot main residence showcases refined Western architecture with wood-paneled interiors, flagstone flooring, and multiple fireplaces. In total, the estate offers 15 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, along with amenities such as a formal dining room for 20 guests, climate-controlled wine storage, a private screening room, fitness facilities, two ponds, hot tubs, and an eight-car garage. The property also provides direct access to hiking and cross-country skiing trails.
Meanwhile, the Charles Koch estate just listed a five-bedroom penthouse in the prestigious Clocktower building just over the Covered Bridge as you enter Vail Village. The offering price is nine million dollars. Clocktower Penthouse Listed For Sale
These offerings represent a notable moment in the upper tier of Rocky Mountain real estate, where properties of this scale and pedigree are rarely available simultaneously.
