Bighorn Townhomes is a small residential townhome community on Meadow Drive in East Vail, near Bighorn Park and across the neighborhood street network from the Vail Racquet Club. Public marketing for the development describes eight homes in two buildings, and recorded addresses include 4708 and 4718 Meadow Drive. The setting is distinctly residential, with the Town of Vail’s free bus system providing the practical connection to Vail Village, Lionshead and the ski area.

The homes date to Vail’s earlier period of development. A recently marketed residence at 4708 Meadow Drive was built in 1969 and contained three bedrooms, two baths and approximately 1,255 square feet on two levels. That example also included a detached garage and additional covered or surface parking. Individual residences have been remodeled to different degrees, so interior finishes, systems and effective living area should be evaluated unit by unit rather than assumed from the development name.

Bighorn Townhomes offers a form of ownership that is less common than the apartment-style condominium buildings found closer to Vail’s village cores. Multi-level plans, individual entries and a small association can make the residences feel more like conventional townhouses, while shared exterior obligations remain governed by the association. A current listing identifies common-area maintenance, association insurance, water, sewer, trash and snow removal among the services included in its assessment, but buyers should confirm the current budget, reserves, insurance structure and exact maintenance boundaries before purchasing.

The East Vail location places the community near Gore Creek, neighborhood open space and the recreation corridor extending through the eastern end of town. Bighorn Park is nearby, and Meadow Drive connects to the local road and pedestrian network serving the Bighorn area. Ski access is by bus or vehicle rather than slopeside, a tradeoff that generally gives East Vail properties a quieter residential character and more separation from the commercial activity of Vail Village and Lionshead.

Rental use requires property-specific review. A current Bighorn Townhomes offering advertised a 30-day rental minimum, and another recent listing showed the same residence in the long-term furnished rental market. Those examples should not be treated as proof that every home has identical rights or restrictions. Owners and buyers should verify the recorded declarations, current association rules, Town of Vail licensing requirements and any occupancy or parking limits before relying on rental income.
